Foresters Brass Concert [Summer of Music '26]
Enjoy an exciting, varied programme of lively and melodic sets with Foresters Brass - a 13 piece ensemble featuring a full array of brass instruments along with a Double Bass and Electric Bass. This concert will feature a varied repertoire of music covering all genres and eras from traditional brass band classics to modern pop music.
Pimm's in the Garden 2026
Join us for Pimm’s in the Garden at Woodgreen Village Hall on Sunday 26th July, from 2pm to 4pm. Tickets are £12, and include live music and a glass of Pimm’s - they are available from Woodgreen Community Shop and the AVC Charity Shop (next to Co-op, Fordingbridge).

John Challenger's Organ Recital [Summer of Music '26]
John Challenger (concert organist and Assistant Director of Music at Salisbury Cathedral) will give an organ concert at St Mary's Church, Fordingbridge. His varied programme will include well known works such as Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by Bach, and Crown Imperial by Walton. Please join us for refreshments afterwards - an opportunity to meet this international concert organist!

An Evening with Ed! [Summer of Music '26]
Freeform stylings of a young local composer! You are invited to join Ed on Thursday 16th July at St Mary’s, Fordingbridge as part of A Summer of Music @ St Mary’s, Fordingbridge. Arrive anytime from 7pm until about 8:30pm. It will be a relaxed and informal setting. Tickets are £7.50 on the door and light refreshments are available throughout. We look forward to seeing you there!
Hyde Tent Service
The Annual Tent Service held on Harrys Field in Frogham took place on the 28th June, where the marquee was kindly left erected for the church to use following the Frogham Fair on Saturday. There were over 60 people at the service where the guest speakers were Tom Cosby and daughter Millie from MAF UK - Mission Aviation Fellowship. We were joined by Hyde Band who accompanied the Songs of Praise style service in fine tune.
Our regular pianist Marguerite, who was due to play for us, unfortunately broke her arm on Friday. One of Tim's pianist colleagues came to the rescue last minute to save the day. Despite Marguerite spending a night in A&E, she was still able to join us for the service.
The Tent Service was led by Hyde Church Warden Jan Butcher and Julie Francis, Ordinand. Julie said “It was wonderful to see so many of our local community attend this annual service, especially those who don’t normally attend church. We even welcomed a few well behaved dogs”. We were treated to a beautiful poem, written and read by Esther as well a a lovely prayer, recited by the owner of Harry’s Field. Fortunately the weather had cooled down enough for the service to he in a comfortable setting. All proceeds from today's service will be donated to MAF, which is a Christian mission organisation, who use planes to overcome the barriers of remote communities. MAF planes are taking off and landing every six minutes and are able to see isolated people globally, changed by the love of Christ.

The new free, drama, "Revelation, a glimpse of Heaven", is aimed at anyone & everyone who wonders 'After this life, what then?' It will be in St Mary's Church, Fordingbridge, on Saturday 1st November, at 3pm.

The Open Gardens Weekend is on July 12th & 13th and is in support of St Mary’s Church Fordingbridge. There is a suggested donation of £10 (cash) to see all the gardens.

The Greatest Gift
'THE GREATEST GIFT' is a 'Drama with Carols' free to all. It is Fordingbridge's own, original & unique retelling of 'The Christmas Story', set in the context of Creation! There will be a Community Service at Hyde Village Hall on 20th October – this service is an informal “songs of praise” and we hope that many local residents will support it.
